The Charleston County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina held their First Annual Book 'Em in May of 2008. They are planning another Book' Em to be held at West Ashley High School in Charleston,  SC with a date to be determined.. Book 'Em originated in Waynesboro, VA in 2004. This ground-breaking Book Fair highlighting the connection between illiteracy and high crime rates features dozens of authors  who will be signing their books and giving talks on writing, the publishing industry, and other topics of interest throughout the day.

Mt. Pleasant, SC is located in Charleston County, just outside of the City of Charleston.

Wando High School will be the location where the Book 'Em event will be held. This school has ample space and is located in a beautiful setting.
