We are pleased to announce the appearance of a very special first time author.

On January 18, 1997, Cara Atkins was hit head on by a heavily intoxicated driver as she drove to her home. The accident left more than her car in critical condition. Cara spent many months fighting against the odds and expectations of those who cared for her.

Today, as Cara continues to heal from the wounds that will likely affect her for the rest of her life, she and her mother Darlene seek to share their powerful story with others. Their hope is that through sharing their story they will motivate, inspire and educate others, about Traumatic Brain Injury and about the power of prayer, anointing for healing, and belief in miracles. They also provide a strong argument against drunk driving and its toll of over 16,000 deaths.

We are also pleased to announce another special author who is attending Book 'Em from California. Serpico, a former LAPD drug dog and his human writer Alan Krugel will both be in attendance. Serpico will paw-o-graph any book he sells.
