                      from Wilton, New Hampshire

Nikki Andrews earns a living as a picture framer, but in her real life she is a writer, hiker, and songmaker.  She started writing stories during junior high school vocabulary tests and has never stopped since. Two of her short stories have been published by The Occasional Moose, and another was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2006Writer's Digest Writing Contest .  She is a member of Talespinners, a women's writing group, and the New Hampshire Writers' Project, and has completed the National Novel Writing Month challenge for six consecutive years.

Chicken Bones and A Windswept Star are set in the high-speed world of auto racing.  Champion driver Marti Hansen and her lover, rock star Derek Hamilton, join forces with the Timers, gender-swapping aliens who patrol the timelines of the galaxy and ensure the proper unfolding of the universe. The utterly average planet known as Earth has more than its share of dangerous time-breaches, and there is more at stake than fame and fortune when Marti straps on a race car!  The third book in the series, The Edge of Possibility, is due out next winter.

In Framed, a newly-discovered painting reveals clues to a cold case of murder/suicide.  When the staff of The Brush & Bevel clean Jerry Berger's portrait of Abby Bingham, they discover far more than they bargained for. Danger and grief await them at every turn.

                  from Meriden, New Hampshire

For the past seven years I’ve focused on real-life adventure stories. Firefighters A to Z (NY Times Best Book 2000) started the series. Since then I’ve covered two more books on firefighting, a book on a U.S. Coast Guard rescue and Hurricane Hunters.   My passion is to tell the stories of the men and women who do amazing jobs that help us  in one way or another.
